Jim and I got this recipe from some friends of ours when we were in the Navy. We went camping with Karmen and Russell in the Sequoia National Park in the late ’80’s. This was a recipe they shared with us one evening as we all sat around the campfire. Goulash McGee is a favorite of Grayson’s and our good friend T-berry. It is wise to keep these few ingredients on hand because it is so easy to stir up if guests show up unexpectedly.
- What you will need:
- Large pot
- 1 pound hamburger meat
- 1 can Ranch Style Beans
- 1 can original Spaghetti-os
- salt/pepper
- Brown the meat in the large pan and drain the grease. Salt and pepper to taste. Add the beans and Spaghetti-os to the hamburger meat. Heat thoroughly.
This is served with a side veggie (like green beans or corn), bread and butter, and sweet iced tea. Jim and Jesse both like to put a slice of pepper-jack cheese on theirs to spice it up a bit. American slices are nice, too.
(This recipes serves 4 – unless Josh is over; then it only serves 3. But it is easily doubled!)
